PMSSS Organized three days Strategic Planning Workshop from 10th to 12th December, 2018 at PMSSS Hall. The workshop was conducted by Rev. Fr. Celestin, Mr. Kushal, CRS Consultant and Mr. Arulappa, CRS State officer jointly with Rev. Fr. Albert Thambithurai, Director TASSOS & Mr. Anand. PMSSS Executive Director Rev. Fr. C Joseph Arumaiselvam, SAMSSS Director Rev. Fr. P.A. Aruldass, Rev. Fr. Rozario - Rector - St Agnes Seminary Cuddalore, Rev. Fr. Allwyn Anbarasu - Principal - Kolping School, Rev. Fr. Arputharaj- SC/ST Commission, Pondicherry, Mrs. Bridget Selvaraj PMSSS Admin cum Finance Manager and Staffs of PMSSS and Teachers of Kolping Matriculation Higher Secondary School had participated in this Workshop.

  • Developing the plan:
    • Environmental scan: (Gathering of information, Analysis and interpretation and Application)
    • Operating Environment (Shocks- Incidents happen suddenly which is not in our control or beyond our control).
    • (Cycle- Happens at a particular season or in a particular situation which can be predicted and recovered).
    • Trends- (It is the continuous situation existing in the organization with issues of many kind which impacts us) (Assets- All the movable and immovable belongings to the organization) (Structures & Systems - the Ornogram of the organization and the implemented policies of the organization).
  • Focus area for PMSSS: With the above inputs, the participants were able to spell out 10 focus areas of PMSSS. Among those 10 areas, the following three are prioritized as the most important goal of the organization in another 5 to 7 years:
    • Disaster Management
    • Economic Empowerment
    • Mental Well- being
  • he participants were divided into three groups and asked them to bring out a goal for the prioritized area and setting Goal for the focused areas by applying SMART techniques.
  • The last session was, looking into the status of the organization by using the tool SWOT analysis. The four groups analysed the Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities and Threads of the organization to be an MODEL Organization in another 5 to 7 years.
