Pondicherry Multipurpose Social Service Society and the Program Supporter SPICMA, UK has sponsored for COVID-19 Relief Response Assistance jointly launched the distribution of dry rations kit for the affected people during this crisis lockdown situation today 26/05/2020 at Archbishop’s House.

Society’s President and the Archbishop of Pondicherry-Cuddalore Archdiocese Most Rev. Dr. Antony Anandarayar presided in the presence of Raj Bhavan Constituency MLA Mr. K. Lakshmi Narayanan, Society’s Vice President Very Rev. Fr. Arulanandam, PMSSS Executive Director Rev. Fr. C. Joseph Arumaiselvam, Society’s Treasurer Rev. Fr. Gregory Louis Joseph, Petit Seminaire School Principal Rev. Fr. R. Pascal Raj and PMSSS Admin cum Finance Manager Mrs. Bridget Selvaraj were supported in distribution.

From the day of Coronavirus Lockdown started, the Sanitary workers were working restless for the welfare of the Puducherry people and to promote & encourage the hard working people, we have distributed for 35 people as dry ration kits ( Rice 5 kg., Toor Dal ¾ kg., Roasted gram ¼ kg., sugar ½ kg., Chilli Powder ½ kg., Salt 1 kg., Sunflower Oil 1 ltr., Turmeric powder 50 gms., Bath soap 1 No., and Washing Soap 1 No.). Also we have planned to distribute another 600 families of some villages in Tamil Nadu.

Pope Francis celebrates mass on 14th May 2020 for the day of prayer against the pandemic, and reminds us that we are all brothers and sisters, no matter our religious affiliation. Today the Higher Committee for Human Fraternity has called for a day of prayer to ask the merciful God for an end to this tragic moment of the Pandemic. So PMSSS gathered together in the chapel and prayed at 11AM.
