Village Resource Centre [VRC]
 
PMSSS established 7 Village Resource Centre in colloboration with Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The seven VRCs located in Thavalakuppam(Pondicherry), Nedungadu(Karaikal), Erumboor, Oomangalam, Periyapattu, Cuddalore OT, Vadalur(Cuddalore).

Each Centre is equiped with a Computer, Video Camera, Sound System, UPS, Dish with a worth of Rs. 5laksh per centre.
VRCs will be connected to the Expert Centers like Universities, Agricultural Universities, Hospitals, Research & Development and Science & Technology Institutions through satellite connectivity. VRCs will be connected to the Satellites. Each VRC covers minimum of 50,000 populations in 10 villages.
PMSSS is looking for expert centre connectivity. So ISRO Programs are not going in VRCs.

  • Tailoring for women
  • Typewriting Training
  • Dissemination of various Govt. Schemes etc.,
